SMEs (Biz-Up)
Local entrepreneurs (all Hub partners)
Artist & designers’ network (Creative Region Linz & Upper Austria / associated)
The TCI Hub is an open knowledge and networking platform (physical & digital) for the circular economy. We activate the innovation potential of companies and accompany them in the realisation of circular business models.
The TCI Hub follows a transdisciplinary approach concerning different scale levels e.g. materials/components/buildings & Products. All activities, services & tools are elaborated in a co-creation process, which is designed and facilitated by ZSI and carried out by all relevant Hub Partners. EcoDesign is one of the key enablers for circularity therefore a connection with design exhibition and awards (eg. OÖ Holzbaupreis & Austrian Interior Design Award) will be realised to set an incentive for all involved stakeholders. The hub refers to the Upper Austrian Smart Specialisation Strategy (#upperVISION2030) in the field of efficient and sustainable Industry and Production.
The main goal is the increase of local resource efficiency in the bio-based construction & interior sector, in order to create new material loops by rethinking value chains to foster the transformation into value networks developing new high-quality services, products & business models.
The hub shall demonstrate, that transdisciplinary cooperation accelerates the transformation towards a circular economy. In addition to the quadruple helix, we follow the quadruple feature approach to create affordable, liveable, sustainable & intelligent materials/components/buildings & products.
We want to draw end customer’s and producer’s attention on the importance of a strong and resilient, local value-added network.
